Ok im going to do my best to not fuck this up! The link above is to an article written by a columnist named Lisa Khoury. She claims in this article that women who get tattoos are classless and ugly. She says that women by nature are beautiful creatures. Yes they are! She also makes the reader believe that if you are a woman and have tattoos you are not classy and that you are ugly because you have tainted your body with ink. I disagree. Let me name a few women with tattoos that I think are just beautiful:
1. Katy Perry (singer)
2. Megan Massacre (Ny Ink)
3. Alyssa Milano (actress)
4. Pink aka Alicia Moore (singer)
5. MadelynMonroe (Pornstar)
The reason I listed five celebrities is because these people all have tattoos and yet look where they are now. They are all famous and doing what they respectively enjoy doing. Tattoos are not trashy. I do believe that too many can look insane but thats just my opinion. That doesn’t make someone trashy. People get tattoos for many reasons. Tattoos are an expression of who we are. Each tatt has a story….a reason to why that person got it. Each of these people I mentioned still became who they are with tattoos. They dont make you trashy. I know women that are classy yet they have some tatts. You would never know it. Many people get tattoos in places that are not visible. Women love to get tattoos on their backs, ankles, foot, shoulder….etc. I have five tattoos. Only two are visible. My two forearms tatts. My others are hidden under my shirt.
Its a shame that we live in a society today where even as an adult a job considers a tattoo(s) a disctraction. Really? How is a tattoo going to keep a female from doing her job? Does the tattoo say. “bitch you aint gonna work today. Your gonna sit right here in this chair all fucking day and do as I say!” Nope of course it doesn’t. How about people who have deformities? Some people are missing fingers, have half an arm or missing one entirely. Others might have burn marks. Unfortunately many people have imperfections. In fact we all do. No one is perfect. Sure i’d like to look like Gerard Butler but until I workout hard as fuck like he does I wont. Some people are born with imperfections. They can’t afford to get surgery. Many just live with it because they don’t feel the need to change. I think tattoos on women can be a sexy addition to their bodies. I personally dont like seeing tattoos on a woman’s breasts or vaginal area but some have them. Oh well, its their choice and they like it so be it!
I really think Lisa was trying to say that she doesn’t feel the need to get a tattoo because she is beautiful and classy already but she really turned it into a huge put down on women with tattoos. It’s fine if you don’t want them Lisa but plenty of other women in the world do want them and it doesn’t make them less classy than you because of that. I know plenty of girls that have tattoos in memory of people in their lives that have passed on. Its their way of keeping those people close to them. Some being a name or logo and others something that the person loved. I have a friend who got a tattoo of a frog. Her mother loved porcelain frogs and had a favorite one. So when her mother died she got that frog tattooed on her wrist. Everyday she sees that tattoo and is reminded of her mother. That isn’t classless. Its beautiful that someone would go to that length to remember someone and yet she still does her job and continues to excel at it. No one questions her about it and speaks negatively.
Lets not judge people simply because they choose to spend hard earned money getting ink on their body. Its their choice to do so and its not classless. Would I date someone with tattoos all over thier body and face? Probably not but that doesn’t mean I think less of them. I just don’t like it. Personal preference. Kat Von D is a pretty woman but for my taste, too many tatts. Oh well, we can have our opinions on what we like and dont like but to stereotype an entire group of people because of one is wrong. I have grim reaper tattoos. Does that make me a bad human? Nope, im still the same guy that would help you out if I could. Now I have judged people before so I wont act like I am some saint because im not. Thats just something I have to work on myself. I certainly though wont judge people based on their body art.
I will say this though. Don’t send Lisa your negative thoughts. Blog about it or something but that article was posted in an opinions section and is merely her opinion. We are all entitled to that and she doesn’t deserve to be hounded by millions of people who feel otherwise. Its merely her opinion. I’d ask that many simply post a blog as I have done to voice your own opinion. She was merely just doing her job. It might not have been the best thing for her to post but let it be. She has a job just like everyone else.
