Women & Red

31 07 2009

i written before about this. Not really here but on other sites. I really HATE when women wear red finger/toe nail polish. Red is gross. It clashes with a womans skin color. Red clothes are not as bad but the nailpolish just looks disgusting. On some women it does look good but to me on many it is gross. Women look better in a pinkish color or my fav, the french mani/pedi.

They say that red turns heads. Every man turns their head when a woman wears red. I dont! If i do its to say how disgusting I think that woman looks in it. Red to me associates with women in porn movies with long ass nails. It just portrays slut. Sorry. Women, you most likely are not a slut but to me thats what the color portrays. You can bash me all you want. Its not like I am saying I am Brad Pitt because I am not. I am just a man with standards. Seems when men are picky about a woman’s appearance they are considered shallow yet if a woman is picky they are just being women! WTF?!? I am single to this day because every woman I meet wants the buff no fat on their body man and I am not that. So you bet your damn ass I am gonna be picky about some things shit!

I get so disgusted with red nailpolish that I really will turn a woman down no matter how beautiful she is. Xtina wears red nailpolish. Sadly, I would have to turn her down if she was just some average woman on the street talking to me. I just hate red. Now darker shades of red look good but that bright ass “in your face” red is what I cant stand. Sadly, of the thousands of women I see on a daily basis almost all of them have red nailpolish on. They wear those annoying ass flip-flops so everyone can see their red disgusting toes. UGH! Go pink! French mani/pedi! What’s great is, I am not alone with this. I read comments from plenty of men that dislike red as well! Wow! Finally! I googled the topic “why women wear red nail polish” and read the forums posted. U put Xtina in red nails and ill cringe. You put her in french mani/pedi and ill go nuts wanting to see her/talk to her. As i said its just an example if she was an average woman on the streets.

I am going to post what I think are the hottest legs and feet ive seen and looks way fucking better than RED toenails!!!

men, enjoy! LOL

Women….

21 07 2009

first i havent posted here lately..sorry i been relaxing since getting back home from Europe.

anyways, women are confusing. I just dont get it. I dont want relationships with anyone that lives far away from me. I guess its partially my fault if i made anyone feel that but NO i dont want that. if i do get into a relationship it will be with someone that lives close to me and I wont have to worry about distance. for instance, I am also going to be getting a house back in Houston. So maybe i meet someone there. Or maybe i meet someone in LA. Who knows. All I know is that I am not looking for internet love. I guess I was too confusing even for myself but now I know that I dont want that.

If people cant respect my wishes then I guess I need to let them go. I hate that but I mean I am not going to change my life and who I am for anyone. I’d rather feel comfortable knowing that I can date someone that lives near me and is only a short drive away.

Just spoke with James Hetfield earlier and Lars Ulrich. Haven’t seen Kirk yet I hear he is around. I got some Metallica Guitar Picks from James. His and Kirk’s. Lars hooked me up with a stick. Man although Metallica isnt as they used to be 100% back in the days they still fucking rock like fucking hell! I grew up learning metal to Metallica.

So its an honor to see those guys again. I met them 2 other times before but this time we actually had time to talk and chill. Lars was joking and said he should just take the nite off and let Joey take his place tonight as he had done back at Download Fest years ago. lol

So Sunday morning its BCN to LHR to IAH to LAX. Thats Barcelona Intl. to London Heathrow to Houston GB Intercontinental to Los Angeles LAX……Think flying is fun? 16 hours of airtime total. Not including time for transfers….grrr

BUT will be good to be home……

Michael Jackson: A Global Icon Remembered

7 07 2009

Many sat around to watch and remember Michael Jackson. Many fought the odds to get tickets. I arrived at my hotel room late and turned on the TV to see coverage of the service. I was surprised to see that things were under control. I doubted the police in the city/area i call home. Wow. Im ashamed. As I rode I had some MJ on the rotation. Nothing tops my favorite MJ song though, “You Are Not Alone.” Its a relaxing song and an emotional one. That song has brought me through many different issues in my life. This blog though isn’t about me.

Michael Jackson love him or hate him was an entertainer. Correction, he IS an entertainer. Even though he has died his music continues to fill our hearts and our lives. Many people can remember listening to MJ as a child or young adult. I do. Wearing headphones and playing the Thriller album over and over. Same as the We Are The World single. I still have all the albums somewhere at home. MJ touched many lives. He was a savior to many. When he and Lionel wrote We Are The World they wrote a song that did save many lives. They made a difference. Many people alive today would not be alive if Michael Jackson had not written such a song and made such a difference in Africa and other parts of the world. Michael Jackson’s heart was not just for his fans but for humanity. That was mentioned during his memorial. Michael Jackson knew many hated him or disliked him because of the accusations brought before him but he continued to love. Michael would have helped even those that hated him just because he was a human being…period

His accomplishments were not in just record sales and awards. He was a man with a heart as big as the world. Michael made the Guinness World Book of Records for being the only person to give to more charities than anyone else. That was Michael. He truly cared for humans. Not whites, blacks, asians, etc….but for the human race. Hence why Michael wrote Black or White. It doesnt matter what color you are. We are all humans. Something that Dr. Martin Luther King emphasized to America and the world. Had I been alive during his life i would have been saddened by his death as well. I celebrate his life as i will Michael’s. Both Dr King and MJ I believe are two of the most influential men in black culture and in the world as a whole. As I heard Dr King’s children speak I shook my head agreeing with everything they said. Hearing that Michael put a smile on their mother’s face as she laid there. If Dr King were alive today I could see him speaking at the memorial. Giving his praises. I was impressed with the speeches that Dr King’s children gave and that of Rev Al Sharpton, Berry Gordy and Rep Sheila Jackson Lee.

Years from now our children and then their children will know who MJ is and what he gave to the world and to music. I titled this Michael Jackson: A Global Icon because that is exactly what he is and what he will be remembered as. People can call him Whacko Jacko or whatever but do you have proof he did what he was accused of? Do you know MJ was a molester? I dont even pay attention to the negative. I celebrate his life for the wonderful music he created and the caring individual he was. I wish i could have met him just to say hi in all the years I worked in the music industry but I never did. As many sat down and watched and mourned/celebrated his life others went about their day. Not caring about a man that changed the world. That’s ok because to each their own. One day someone that those people idolize will pass away and they will feel grief and sorrow and they will then want to know why others dont feel their sorrow. I ask them to look back to MJ’s death and see how they reacted and they would then know why others are being negative to their thoughts and emotions. Berry Gordy called Michael Jackson the Greatest Entertainer that Ever Lived. Yes I agree. He knew how to put on a show. When he sang or took the stage people stopped and listened. Even if just for a moment. Michael was compassionate in his vocals. Often writing about his own life experiences. Michael was a true artist. He showed that with every performance. Some take the stage to impress. To get women to want them. Michael took the stage because he loved performing and he loved his fans. He gave back for all the love his fans showed him.

My Final Thoughts:

I will miss having Michael Jackson here. Who knows how much more musically he could have given. Maybe another song as compassionate as You Are Not Alone. I cant say I am all there as I type this. I keep wiping the tears from my eyes because as a musician myself that could care for shit about impressing anyone I love music. MJ’s music will continue to be in our lives and for those that love his music….in our hearts. You want to know something? After I heard Michael Jackson’s Beat It and learned Eddie Van Halen did the guitar solo that turned me onto Van Halen and to playing guitar. I thank Michael Jackson for that. No matter if you are in America, Europe, Middle East, Japan, Australia…etc you will hear someone listening to Michael Jackson. With that said, his music and his legacy will live on forever and ever and his music will still touch the hearts of even the youngest of all. God Bless you Michael Jackson and thank you. Thank you for bringing me joy as a child and an adult with your music. It will forever live on with me until my last breath on this earth…….Goodbye King of Pop

France/Portugal/Spain: The Final Euro Ride Stretch

6 07 2009

about to leave from Belfort to Lisbon. The entire ride is just over 1,000 miles or 1,628km. Its going to be a scenic trip! I should finish this trip in two days. I am riding from here to Bordeaux and settling in there unless I make great time then I will go farther. In the USA I can ride 1000 miles easy in an entire day into the evening. Here I am not sure what to expect. I will hit up some fast speeds once I get out in the open. If possible I would even ride as far as Madrid but I really would like to take it easy. So most likely will goto Bordeaux and rest up then get back on the road early the next morning for Lisbon. Here is my route by cities listed below. I hope I spelled all the city names correctly! lol

Dijon France
Chalon sur Saone France
Lyon France
Saint Eitenne France
Clermont-Ferrand France
Bordeaux France
Donostia Spain
Burgos Spain
Valladolid Spain
Segovia Spain
Madrid Spain
Talavera De La Reina Spain
Caceres Spain
Badajoz Spain
Lisbon Portugal

From Lisbon I will ride back to Madrid going through the same cities upon arriving in Lisbon. Then from Madrid I will head to Zaragoza then Barcelona. From there I fly back home. Much needed rest and some time to go through my pics and experiences in hoeps to post more on here through blogs, as well as on my personal blog page and on Flickr. I will keep in touch over the next few days!

A Short Look Back @ Things

3 07 2009

*originally posted to my Slipknot blog*

Sitting here drinking a few cups of coffee this morning and looking back to when this entire trip started. I realized just how interesting this whole trip has been. Although I dont have much time for things these days especially between travel and sleep and trying to find a balance in between, I have slacked off on any kind of postings. I have decided that I will post pics from this trip after this trip ends next week. That way it gives me more time to look at what I have. I also sat down this morning and recorded a few audio clips of my vocal thoughts on this trip. From airliner to bus to motorcycle to dressing rooms and restaurants and everything else.

Its interesting the things I can remember and the things I can not. I dont correct myself I just take a moment to think and I keep going. I think thats more realistic than being perfect. Being perfect is almost like being scripted and thats just not the way things work in the Slipknot camp nor in my world. This trip I have made quite some outstanding accomplishments.

Maybe once this entire trip is in the books and done I will do a complete Retrospective of it all. Who knows at this point but im sure I probably will. Im not a celebrity nor will I ever be but it is still interesting to some that find my travels facinating. For that reason I would write or speak about them!
